Nesting, Restless Leg Syndrome & Watermelon!

Although my first trimester was a difficult one, marked by constant sickness and extreme fatigue, the second trimester brought me new energy. I was filled with a nesting instinct and couldn't stop myself from reorganizing the back bedroom to create Noah's new room. I had it all planned out in an app called 'Room Planner', the way I wanted it to look. We were really lucky that as a gift, Miguel's sister, Helena paid for his furniture. Well the room turned out exactly how I wanted it, and I'm very proud to say I did most of it myself whilst Miguel was at work, keeping me busy.

I went to appointments, planned, and continued my photography work, but then the third trimester hit.

I was suddenly suffering from restless leg syndrome, a condition that causes twitching, tingling and a strong urge to move the legs that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. I stayed on the couch every night, I would sit in the shower for ages to try and ease the discomfort with no luck! I was tired... but at least Noah was keeping me entertained with his constant movement.

By the way, the first thing I recommend you buy to help you get comfortable is one of those long pillows they are brilliant! I got mine in Pekemundo in San Isidro!

I was awake most of the night, I'd be working on the laptop, watching friends, scrolling social media, checking out Facebook marketplace over and over again to find things for Noah, even playing games of Ludo online. I was happy to have Marley and the cats always keeping me company.

I was eating for two, and my cravings were stronger than ever. I desperately craved watermelon, but it was impossible to find as it was out of season.

After weeks of searching, the little supermarket around the corner from me, managed to get me one especially, and it was worth every penny. It was a huge, juicy, and incredibly delicious watermelon that I devoured in a matter of days.

Pregnancy is not easy! But there were so many beautiful moments too that I now miss so much!
