Growing a Human, One Month at a Time.
My days were spent on the sofa in front of the fan, melting in the hot weather, or going to the beach with our dog, I'd take my camera with me to photograph other dogs. My mum even came to visit me for three weeks, and it was great spending time with her.
My friends would be surprised everytime they saw me as my belly just getting bigger and bigger! It was a big help having Miguel's auntie living around the corner, she always looked after me!
I also kept myself busy doing some marketing, photography and design work for Babuhska's bar in Fañabe, it was perfect because for the most part I didn't have to move much!
My experience at El Mojón Hospital was not the best. The doctors didn't seem to take much notice of my questions or concerns, instead, rushing through appointments. They didn't provide detailed explanations, making it difficult for me to fully understand what I was going through or what they were showing me.
In contrast, the midwives at San Isidro were wonderful! They always took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and even showed me my baby's heartbeat. However, there were only two midwives, which meant there was a lot of pressure on them. Despite this, they always remained cheerful and offered a high level of care. They also had online live classes to prepare you for birth that they hosted!
We were certain we were expecting a little girl. I had a hunch, and everyone would tell me the same with certainty. The symptoms, the way my body changed, the shape of my belly- it all pointed to a girl. We even chose a girls name, never considering the possibility of having a boy. But, to our surprise, our little bundle of joy turned out to be a little man! We were happy, but the most difficult part was choosing a name. We struggled for a long time, until months later, we finally decided on Noah. We couldn't be happier to finally have a name for our baby. One of the most exciting moments during my pregnancy was getting monthly scans at Hospiten, which allowed me to see Noah's development in real-time. The insurance made it possible for me to get 3D scans every time, and while I have plenty of pictures of Noah's back, there was nothing quite like finally seeing his face. Our little boy was finally here, and it was an experience I'll never forget.

I loved every minute of your pregnancy and although we are so far from you, it was a pleasure trying to answer and help with any questions and concerns you had and help you through it from my experience when I was expecting you. The wonders of technology is amazing as we're able to chat every day and do video chats. You have grown into the perfect Mam, with our gorgeous grandson and we are so proud of you. We love coming over to see you and playing with Noah and watching him grow and learn new things. Love you loads and thank you XX
